1. What preparations should be made before starting a piston air compressor?

2. Why is the pressure not rising during operation?

Common four types of problems, troubleshoot in order of priority:

Intake problems: clogged air filter (remove and clean or replace the filter element), intake valve not fully open (check the valve block for sticking);

Seal problems: worn/broken piston rings (causing cylinder air leakage), loose pipe joints (use soapy water to detect leaks);

Exhaust problems: safety valve malfunction (premature pressure relief), worn exhaust valve disc (seal failure);

Motor problems: insufficient motor speed (low voltage or motor failure), belt slippage (adjust belt tension).

 

3. What should I do if the noise suddenly increases during operation?
First, identify the source of the noise and then address it specifically:
Mechanical friction noise: This could be caused by a lack of oil in the bearings (add grease) or wear between the piston and cylinder wall (check clearance and replace parts if necessary);
Knocking noise: This could be caused by a loose connecting rod bearing (tighten bolts) or a broken valve disc (disassemble the valve housing for inspection);
Vibration noise: This could be caused by loose bolts securing the machine (tighten the anchor bolts) or an unbalanced pulley (correct or replace).
