On August 12th, Mr. Wan Mingzhong-Chief Expert of China Energy Engineering Group, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Digital Group, as well as Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Engineering Research Institute-and his delegation held talks in Shanghai with Mr. Liu Baojun, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. Both parties conducted in-depth exchanges on the integration and innovation in the field of compressed air energy storage, and reached extensive consensus on jointly promoting the research and development of new energy storage materials and the industrial application of standardized gas storage solutions.
At the seminar, Mr. Wan Mingzhong first expressed gratitude for Baosteel's warm reception. He pointed out that relying on the strategic deployment of China Energy Engineering Group, Digital Group is accelerating the development of new businesses. "Our country is capable of developing compressed air energy storage system solutions, and we are fully committed to advancing the implementation of large-scale compressed air energy storage project clusters and all-green power station projects," he stated, adding that the goal is to "build the world's top-tier new energy storage system and become an outstanding scientific and technological innovation enterprise in the new era." He mentioned that the Jiuquan Project is currently in a critical construction period, and Baosteel, with its rich experience in pressure vessel manufacturing and recycling, is expected to contribute to the above-ground gas storage solution for the Jiuquan Project. He expressed hope that both parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in such fields as scientific research innovation, product innovation, and industrial chain innovation of energy storage pressure vessels in the future, accelerate the finalization of a long-term strategic cooperation agreement, and provide solid support for achieving the "dual carbon" goals.
Mr. Liu Baojun, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd., warmly welcomed Mr. Wan Mingzhong and his delegation, and gave a detailed introduction to the company's latest achievements in new welding technologies, anti-corrosion technologies, and efficient standardized pressure vessel gas storage systems. He spoke highly of Digital Group's innovative concepts and strategic planning in the field of compressed air energy storage. After the symposium, Mr. Wan Mingzhong and his delegation also visited Baosteel's UOE longitudinal submerged arc welding production line and gained a detailed understanding of the production processes.
