On August 10, 2025, organized by the National Standardization Technical Committee for Electric Power Storage, and edited by the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, two national standards, "Technical Specifications for Monitoring System of Compressed Air Energy Storage Station" and "Technical Specifications for Vane-Type Expansion Technology of Compressed Air Energy Storage Station", were officially launched and the outline review meeting was successfully held in Beijing. These two national standards are the first set of product standards in China targeting the core equipment of compressed air energy storage systems. Led by the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, they are jointly compiled by industry leaders, design institutes, and research institutions. The aim is to standardize the product technical requirements of expansion machines and monitoring systems, guiding the industry towards high-quality development. It is expected to form a Chinese-characteristic innovative solution for compressed air energy storage technology, promoting China and even the global new energy storage industry to reach new heights.
